Meals from the Heartland 2009
On September 3, the Zero Gravity Youth Group volunteered for Meals from the Heartland, the largest humanitarian food packaging project in the country. Over five days, groups from all around central Iowa gathered at Hy-Vee Hall in Des Moines and packaged more than four million meals to hungry people in Haiti and other sites around the world. We have already exceeded our fundraising goal of $500 for this cause--by over $1,500--but you can still help by sending a check to the church (payable to First Presbyterian Church, with "Meals from Heartland/Zero Gravity" on the "for" line).
