Regular Activities:
Every Thursday–Join us for a
meal at 11:30 in the Fellowship Hall. A main dish is
provided. You are invited to bring a side dish, but it is not
necessary. There is always plenty of food.
After the meal, Virgil
Hudson leads us in bible study. We are starting a new study, Philippians–God’s Guide to Joy, by
Ron Klug, part of a Fisherman Bible Studyguide. Philippians–one
of the most joyful books ever written–came from a man facing
imminent execution in prison. The apostle Paul’s letter to the
church at Philippi shimmers with the words joy, glad, and rejoice. Learn from one who
faced supernatural evil as well as every kind of human problem–and yet
could say, “Rejoice in the Lord always, and again, I say, Rejoice!”
(Come as early as 10:45
or 11:00 for coffee and
fellowship. Or come for the Bible Study starting at
approximately
12:15.)
Once a month–We meet for breakfast at Oskaloosa Family
Restaurant at 8 a.m.
on the second Tuesday of each month.

these Books of Interest. (Updated

The relationship with God–the willingness to serve
God and
to care for others–was
never reserved for a particular age
group. In the Old and New Testaments, God calls young and old to
faithfulness and service

Theological basis for
OAM
We believe:
• in the unique worth of every aging person
• life is an ongoing process of growth
• that the love of Jesus Christ is the foundation and norm for our
service
• that the elderly are pioneers of a new era of self-reliance and
interdependence.

Home
medical equipment
There is durable
medical equipment (i.e., walkers, etc.) our church members are willing
to loan out. The list is in a grey recipe file box in the office. Just
call the person on the card to see if it is still available. Sign it
out and hang onto your checkbook.
