When you visit…

The church “Sharon’s” invite you to visit!

Our entrances are from the south door (405 High Ave. East), the west sidewalk ramp and  the north door along A Avenue with a canopy for inclement weather. Our small parking lot is generally reserved for the elderly and those needing a little extra assistance. Other parking is along the streets and in the large lot SW of the church.

Accessibility:  Our west sidewalk  provides wheelchair entrance into the Sanctuary. The north doorway  will accommodate those with mobility issues with automatic doors,  a handicapped accessible restroom and a chair lift for the short flight of stairs to enter the sanctuary.  The sanctuary has an area with wide spacing to accommodate wheelchairs and walkers.

If you come for Sunday School at 9:00, any church member will be happy to direct you to the class of your choosing. Visitors are always welcome in all the classes. At 10:15 people begin gathering for Worship and we enjoy music selections played or sung by those of any age who wish to share their gifts of music. Our Worship service begins at 10:30 and we have ushers who distribute bulletins with the order of the service.

In the bulletin, there is a space for your name and address/email; fill this out and place it in the collection plate later in the service.

There is also a spot on the tear off sheet for writing a special prayer request which, when passed to the end of the pew will be picked up by an usher during the first hymn and  given to the pastor.  Indicate if you prefer the request not be included in vocal prayers but just passed on to our prayer group.

Early in the service there are announcements that are not in the bulletin, and a time for greeting.  Children are welcome to stay upstairs with their families for our Worship serve (we have activity bags near the south door). Children from birth through kindergarten may play with our caregivers in the nursery during worship if you so desire.  We partner with you in introducing your small child to the love of Jesus, in a colorful and loving environment. Each caregiver has had a back-ground check , and appropriate training in the care and safety of the “youngest among us”.

When Worship is over, everyone is invited to go through the double doors at the front left side of the church, down the short flight of stairs and join in fellowship with snacks and beverages provided by different groups and committees.  The first Sunday of the month we share a potluck meal together. Food contributions are not mandatory- everyone is welcome at our tables!

Our church is not preoccupied with a “proper” dress code;  so you will see people in blue jeans and tennis shoes to  business attire. Wear what is comfortable to you and worship with us!
